Maintenance Tips for Mini Split Systems
Mini split systems require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Here’s what you need to know:
- Regular Cleaning:
- Moisture from cooling can lead to mold and grime buildup, while dust and dirt can clog the system.
- Clean filters, condenser coils, and pipes regularly to prevent internal damage.
- Dust or debris on the exterior should also be cleared to avoid particles entering the system.
- Frequency:
- Clean filters every 4-6 weeks, especially in dusty or humid environments.
- Professional servicing at regular intervals is recommended for deeper cleaning and component inspection.
- Importance of Proactivity:
- Regular maintenance extends the system’s lifespan, improves efficiency, and reduces the need for costly repairs.
- “Be Proactive, Not Reactive” – following a maintenance schedule saves money and ensures smooth operation.
- Professional Assistance:
- For in-depth cleaning involving components like drip pans, evaporator coil and blower wheels, it’s advisable to hire a professional.
- DIY cleaning can be done for basic tasks, but caution is advised, especially when handling high-voltage components.
Outdoor Condenser Unit Cleaning Checklist:
- Clear debris around the unit.
- Wash the outdoor cabinet.
- Scrub and wash the grill/fan cage.
- Clean fan blades, interior, and condensate pan.
- Clear drain hose of any dirt.
Indoor Air Handler Unit Cleaning Checklist:
- Clean exterior surface.
- Remove and clean air filters.
- Clean evaporator coil.
Remember, safety should always be the top priority. If unsure, consult a professional technician.

You can easily register your product in www.daizuki.com/warranty within the first 60 days of installment by a licensed HVAC technician. Fill out the questionnaire thoroughly, and double check for errors before submitting your application. You will receive via email a PDF confirmation of your warranty application. Make sure to print it and/or save it in case you ever need it.
First and foremost, make sure your mini split equipment has been registered for warranty. If your mini split equipment is not registered, please fill out our online form here. Next, be sure to have your warranty registration form at hand, and get in contact with us by calling our toll free customer service number +1(305) 406-2331 or email us at info@daizuki.com with a technical report of your issue.
We want to help you fix your problem as soon as possible, and we will help you to the best extent we can. We will gladly support you to get the part you need if it is still in existence. However, without a proper warranty registration, the cost of the parts and shipping will be assumed by the individual making the warranty claim.
We put a lot of effort in providing you with a high-quality product. Unfortunately, inadequate handling of the equipment prior to installation and a poor installation can put a toll on the performance of a brand-new air-conditioning unit. Most often than not, if your mini split is not performing as expected, it is not necessary to throw it, out the window. Have a licensed HVAC technician properly diagnose the unit, have your technician contact us for troubleshoot support, and ultimately find an affordable solution for you.
